It has been a while since we have updated you on the direction Lou’s work for the Trust has taken.
Since 2006
We employed Lou Funnell in September 2006 to take over from the wonderful work Tanya Mitchell (nee Pascoe) had been growing. We took the opportunity to increase the position to full time with a hope that funds would match our venture and we would continue to grow the work
We are full of gratitude that God has continued to sustain us through in the most part His sons and daughters – you! Even at points where we have doubted, He has miraculously stirred hearts and poured out on us his generosity.
It’s not all about money though. God has also increased the work we deliver and the amount of local Christians who are regularly in school meeting the needs of our local youth.

Yet God grows people as well as growing the work they do. In September 2017, Lou began a four day week, working a fifth day with Brogdale CIC, who provide our mentoring training. In April 2019, this increased to two days. In September 2019 Lou will work three days for Brogdale CIC.

As the work has grown, it has felt right, alongside Lou’s hour changes, to simplify our delivery. In the next term Lou will be working two days. One day will be more of a management role; overseeing our volunteers, seeking funding and creating social media content. (as well as drinking a lot of coffee!- Lou). The second day will be all about delivery of our work.
We believe however, that we are moving into a season of growth, and Lou’s lessening hours are indeed part of what we believe God may do within the Trust in the next season! We’re excited to let you into some great news, coming very soon – will you join us in this new season?
