“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season”
A couple of years ago, I (Lou) was invited to be part of RIVER, a retreat based in Canterbury run from the CitySpace prayer room. It was a place that both seemed to culminate and catalyse thoughts and words that God had been placing on my heart. It was a incredible time and I would recommend it to anyone who would be interested.
Two verses which have stuck by me since then. Psalm 1:3 & Exe 47:12 serve as a reminder to me, to plant myself firmly by the river. Taking time out in the summer holidays is one of the ways I do this. Time to get into a new environment, outdoors, into His word and out onto pages and pages of journal writing.
How do you build in extended time to sit by the river?
